It is time for us to take a stand to raise awareness of the global conditions of orphaned and abandoned children around the world and provide them with the resources they need for a better future. Join us in celebrating the chance for a better life for these children by taking part in World Orphan Week 2007!
World Orphan Week 2007 is a campaign to empower people like you to take action and bring hope to the life of an orphaned child.
With your help, SOS Children's Villages is able to provide children with a family, a home, an education, and a better tomorrow.
Together, we will bring attention to some of the causes of child abandonment: HIV/AIDS, war, and extreme poverty, illustrated through the situations within of Botswana, Lebanon, Jamaica, and Cambodia. No matter the circumstance, SOS Children’s Villages have continued to provide not only a home, but a family, an education, and a positive future to so many children around the world.
Each person who signs up online to be a volunteer will receive a Volunteer Welcome Packet and World Orphan Week t-shirt as seen below.
